TRO is a collaborative effort between author Robert J. Duperre and artist Jesse David Young.  We are here at first to present to you The Fall, which is the first book in a series of four by Mr. Duperre titled The Rift.  Hence, the name of this website.

These books are not all we will be presenting, however.  There are other projects, as well - everything from product tie-ins to a newly minted comic we will be attempting to construct as well as, possibly, a compilation book of short stories and artwork that has been kicking around in the back or one of our minds for quite some time.

We created this site, and published this book, as a way to find a new way into the publishing market.  The market itself is in a state of disarray right now.  It is virtually impossible for an unknown talent - in either literature or art - to make their way into the mainstream.  It is our hope that, by putting ourselves out there and plugging away with unprecedented willpower and desire (as well as a great amount of perhaps annoying persistence), that we will show the publishing world that there is talent out there other than those already known, and it would be in their best interest, and in the best interest of the suffering reader, to get out there and find them

Robert J. Duperre is a lover of literature in all its forms.  Be it horror, fantasy, science fiction, literary fiction, or even romance, he delves into it all and relishes every minute of it.  It is his desire to show this love of all genres by creating wide-reaching stories that defy classification, that can reach the widest possible audience.

Jesse David Young is an artist whose ability to create frightening images is only exceeded by his ability to be an insufferable bastard.  His artwork captures the raw feel of terror, as well as luring the observer into a form of realism that can be quite unsettling.
